Simple Planning for School SLPs + Project Life Planner Giveaway

I have a love hate relationship with planning. I hate that planning in both my professional life and personal life can be a bit time consuming but I love the feeling of being organized and knowing exactly how my days will flow. I am (and will always be) a paper planner lover. At home, I use my Erin Condren Life Planner and Lists from Knock Knock Stuff to stay organized.

At work, I have two tools that I use to stay on track.   The first is the Blue Sky Daily Day Designer from Target. I love that the Daily Day Designer gives you a full page to plan out each day.

The second tool I use is my lesson plan binder. I write out my lesson plans because I feel it brings structure and organization to my day. The first part of my lesson plan binder is a monthly calendar. I use the monthly calendar to keep track of my themes and also to record the number of instructional days we have in each month. The second part contains my daily "lesson" plans.  I really like using this simple, straight to the point format.

Next, I include my circle plans, these are more detailed because these are the plans that I use for whole class groups.  I also use centers/stations for independent work in my room so I have a section for monthly center ideas.

Lastly, over the summer I spent plenty time reading on long range planning and I thought this would be a great idea for those of us who use themes in therapy. I found this template on Ginger Snaps and Treats for Teachers.  It is editable and exactly what I needed for my theme plans.

I hope these ideas make your therapy planning easier. You can grab my editable planning sheets for free in my TPT store.
