Let It Fall!

Hi Guys!!!

I know it has been a long time since my last post.   I have been dealing with a few personal issues and also tackling a few projects around my home.  Things are easing up quite a bit so I am back to (somewhat) regularly posting again!!

My kiddos and I have been discussing all things Autumn this week.  I love Fall so I had lots of fun teaching this week!

I used 2 books in therapy this week Let It Fall by: Maryann Cocca-Leffler and There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves by Lucille Colandro.  Both are great books for targeting fall vocabulary and many other speech and language goals.
After spending some time learning and discussing our new fall vocabulary we worked on categorizing.  I used some activities from the "Autumn Leaves are Falling" packet by: Primary Junction posted on the Teachers Pay Teachers website.  *It's a Freebie this week so go grab it.

My kiddos really love doing craftivities in Speech but I'm not so crafty or creative.  So I am always scouring the web looking for fun crafts that I can build language lessons around.  This week I relied on the genius minds over at All Kids Network

We practiced following written and oral directions, color identification, making requests and turntaking using their Bean Leaf Craft

In all it was a fun and productive week! Enjoy the rest of the weekend guys!  Tai
